a. Note:   Notes for FLORENCE HILL MARBUT: Florence was reared by Wesley and Mary Braswell, his grandparents in Lithonia, Ga. Shown in 1870 Ga. census. His mother died when he was a child. See notes under Daniel Pressley and Sarah Braswell. F. H. moved from Lithonia Dist., DeKalb Co. GA (shown in 1880 cens) to Polk Co. GA Van Wert area. Moved to Potash Community west of Cedartown. He was a farmer and Baptist preacher. Resided in Polk Co. 1900 census p. 370.. 8 children, 7 living. Lived on Potash Road in Cedartown in 1920 census of Polk. A handwritten piece in F.H.'s book says: "The death angel visited the home of F. H. Marbut on the 7th October 1912 and takend his son Hillyer who had been ill for several months. Four days before he died he called all who was present and told them not weep for him for it was all well with him. He had a home in heaven. Leaving father and mother and wife and son and four sisters and two brothers and many relatives to mourn for the loss of him." Written May 31, 1913
