Note:   HANNAH HOLLIS was born on 7 March 1807 in Chester Co., PA. She was the daughter of George Washington Hollis and Elizabeth Lincoln. She marries John Temple in 1824 and remains with him until his death. She appeared in the census in September 1850 in Sadsbury, Crawford, PA. She appeared in the census in July 1860 in Taylor Twp., Union, OH. Hannah appeared in the census in June 1880 in Spring Hill, Johnson, KS. Enumerated with her son James. She died on 25 January 1889 at the age of 81 in Olathe, Johnson, KS.The Kansas City Directory for 1889 gives her as a resident there. Buried in Elmwood Cemetery, Kansas City, MO. Hannah listed in 1860 Union Co., Ohio census. Hannah listed as a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church in Union Co., OH in Beers' 1883 History of Union County. Hannah (with her son John Hollis) and her sons, George and William Franklin are listed in the 1865 Illinois state census (taken 3 July 1865) in the town of St. Joseph. Hannah bought 40 acres of land (railroad sale) in section 32 of township 19 N Range 10E (St Joseph Township) of Champaign County March 31, 1870. By 1884 she was in Kansas City when she signed her granddaughter's autograph book.
 Obituary from the Kansas City Star:
  "Mrs. Hannah Temples, formerly a resident of this city, died at Olathe yesterday of Paralysis. The remains were brought to this city this morning, and the funeral will take place from the home of her daughter, 1811 East Fourteenth Street. The interment will be at Elmwood Cemetery."
  Hannah shared a ggggf with Abraham Lincoln, i.e. Mordecai Lincoln.
  Notice from Johnson County Democrat, Jan 31, 1889 edition "The east end of our little city was the scene of a very sad incident last week. Mrs. J. M. Miller who has been quite ill with pneumonia for some time, sent to Kansas City for her mother, Mrs. Temple. This estimable lady was so grieved over her daughters illness that she was taken with a paralytic stroke and passed away on Friday. Her children were sent for, and a sorrowing family accompanied the remains to Kansas City, last Sabbath. Mrs. Miller is still very low."
