Lawrence Co., PA wills T-M #638. The will of Jane Macklin is as follows: I, Jane Macklin, of Bessemer, County of Lawrence, and State ofPennsylvania, being of sound mind, memory and understanding, do make andpublish this my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking and making voidall former Wills by me at anytime heretofore made. First, I desire that all funeral expenses and all expenses incurredduring my last illness and death be paid. Second, that the person or persons caring for me during my last sicknessshall be paid a reasonable amount for their services. The remainder of my estate real, personal, and mixed, shall bedivided as follows: One-third(1/3) to my son Jacob E. Macklin for use during hislifetime; at his death it shall be divided equally among his children. One third(1/3) to my daughter Kate V. Manewal for use during herlifetime; at her death it shall be divided equally among her children. One sixth(1/6) to my grandson Frederick Beck and one sixth(1/6) tomy grandson Randall Beck. The last two named being sons of my daughter Ellen Irene Beck nowdeceased! I do hereby make, constitute and appoint Jacob E. Macklin to beExecutor of this my last Will and Testament. In witness thereof, I, Jane Macklin, the Testatrix above named, havehereunto subscribed my name and affixed my seal, the eleventh day of Julyin the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred twenty nine. Mrs. Jane Macklin Signed, sealed, published and delivered by the above Jane Macklin as andfor her last Will and Testament, in the presence of us, who have hereuntosubscribed our names at her request as witnesses thereto in the presenceof the said Testatrix and of each other. P. M. Griffin Julie Lusk Her obituary was in the New Castle News on June 2, 1937, page 2. " Mrs. Macklin was born May 16, 1850, in Mahoning Co., Ohio, butpractically all her life was passed in Pennsylvania. Her husbandpreceded her in death by 27 years. Mrs. Macklin was a respected and well known resident and was amember of the Bessemer Presbyterian Church. She leaves, besides her daughter, ten grandchildren, onegreat-grandchild, and one brother, Scott Fosnot, of State Line. Funeral services will take place Friday at 2:30 P. M. in theManewall residence with Rev. W. J. Engle of the Bessemer PresbyterianChurch, in charge, assisted by Rev. H. E. Woods of Sharpsville.Interment will be made in Petersburg Cemetery." Death certificate, #61558, PA Department of Health, gives date of birth,husband's name, death date, and cause of death [bronchial pneumonia]. Itwas made out by her daughter Kate Manewal.
