a. Note:   n.She was born on November 5, 1914. The family lived in Bessemer, PA.Margaret was soon given the nickname "Skip" and has kept it all herlife. Skip attended the Bessemer Elementary and High Schools. She wasvery active in sports during her high school years. Skip knew theWallace girls and Mrs. Wallace and met John through them. In 1937 namedin her grandmother, Jane Macklin's estate as living in Bessemer, PA. John Wallace and Marcella (Skip) Macklin were married at Skip'smother's house, 19 Walnut Street, in Bessemer, Pennsylvania. Rev. RayWoodburn, the young minister at the Mount Jackson Presbyterian Church,(Ray had just recently become the brother-in-law of Skip) married them.John's sisters were attendants. The decorations were apple blossoms fromJohn's farm. John and Skip married on May 18, 1940 and lived on the farmknown as the Carr place. There they raised five children one of which isJonathan, the husband of Brenda McGuire. At the death of James CliffordWallace, they moved to the Wallace farm and Skip took over the care ofthe home and an elderly mother-in-law. Her mother, Margaret Macklin,moved into the Carr place and Skip also took care of her. Her mother'smind failed as her health deteriorated, and Skip walked over to the Carrplace house each evening to spend the night with her mother. She carrieda 32 revolver for security. Skip was very active in the farm and sometimes worked in the fieldswhen needed. Even at an age when most women would have retired, Skipstill provided meals for her sons who work the farm. On June 27, 1995, Skip took an evening walk after a thunderstorm.She returned to the house, laid on the couch because she was havingtouble breathing. She died shortly after in the presence of her husband,John, and her son, Ed.
