a. Note:   According to the Tom Wallace-Eliza Elizabeth Cobble family group sheet from Judy Prince, Robert was born May 1879. There is no Robert in the household with Eliza in the 1880 census, but there is 9-month-old (born in September) William M. Robert's birth date is May 1879 in the 1900 census.
  However, Dewitt writes in his narrative history of James Coy Wallace that Eliza had six children. Eliza herself reports in the census that she's given birth to six children. I think William Robert and William N. are two different people; William N. likely is son of Eliza's sister, Rohena Jane and Isam Wallace.
  Dewitt's narrative was written before September 1993 (his date of death). There may have been information in his files that Rachel added to his record or it could be her own research. --gbrock
  Robert's marriages in order: Bertha Kitts, Bess Rogers, Ina Mae Hickey
  Robert is in Knox County, Tennessee, in the 1910 U.S. census, wifth his wife, Bertha (Kitts). Also in the household is Eva Kitts, sister of Robert, 21, widowed. Both Robert and Eva list the birth place of their father as "unknown." There is no mention in Dewitt's records of a Eliza having a daughter named Eva. Eva's approximate birth date is 1889.
