a. Note:   He was born about 1760-1770. Per one researcher (Marg ?), Christopher Borden was in Knox and Greene Co., TN and Knox Co KY in the 1790's. He went to AL and settled in Lawrence Co., AL. He and Sarah had a large family. He was a surveyor and surveyed Walker Co. AL when it became a county. Other Bordens in same location as Christopher: Adam, John, Jacob, George, and Augustine. Christopher and Sarah joined the Barbourville Baptist Church in Knox Co., Ky. Names used for the children: Mary, Nancy, Jacob, James, Thomas, Caleb, Zachariah, David, Cherry, Jesse & Melinda. Melinda is my ancestor, born about 1801 TN and md. in Morgan Co AL to William Jeffreys, 1820. Per Donna Evans: Christopher Borden was b. 1760 in TN/d. 1840 in Borden Creek, Lawrence Co., AL, and is probably bd. in Dement Cem. in Borden Creek, Lawrence Co., AL. Donna shows he md. ca. 1798 to Sarah Lucinda ? (b. ca. 1765 in VA), and their children were: (1) Mary Borden (b. ca. 1789); (2) Sarah A. Now, Know ye, That the United States of America, in consideration of the premises, and in conformity with the several acts of Congress, in such case made and provided, have given and granted, and by these presents, do give and grant, unto the said Christopher Borden and to his heirs, the said tract above described: TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the same, together with all the rights, privileges, immunities, and appurtenamces, of whatever nature thereunto belonging, unto the said Christopher Borden and to his heirs and assigns forever.
