a. Note:   Leigh family history (John Leigh & His Descendants) says Thomas gave ea ch of his sons a farm. It reports Thomas had ten children and he settl ed them so near to his place that he could visit them all in a day. Mrs . Lee was the furthest off - 11 miles away. He was one of the founding members of the Congregational Church in West ern in 1791 and remained a member until his death. Thomas listed his occupation as "husbandman" on early deeds.
