Note: 1793 VOTERS LIST-COUNTY OF GLASGOW, NORTH CAROLINA 76 Nathan Minshew 204 Jacob Minshew 270 James Minshew/Mayton? 274 John Minshew 312 Isaac Minshew ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Indenture between Nathan Minshew and Willis Odim 26 Dec 1831 Houston Co, GA 26 December 1831 Deed bk.__ pg. 133 State of Georgia} This indenture made the twenty sixth day of Houston County } December in the year of our lord One thousand eight hundred and thirty one and in the fifty fourth year of the Independance of the United States of America between Nathan Minshew on the one part, and Willis Odim of the other part, witnesseth that the said Nathan Minshew for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars to him in hand, well and truly paid by the said Willis Odem at on before the sealing and delivery of these presents the reciept whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained sold released and confirmed and by these presents doth grant bargain seal release and confirm unto the said Willis Odem, heirs and assigns one hundred acres land of the north side of lot two hundred thirty eight (238), lying and being in the county of Houston and in the fifth (5th) district, together with all and singular rights members and appertainances thereof whatsoever to the said piece or parcel of land being belonging ____ any _____ appertaining and the remainders remaind rents _____ and profits thereof and being part thereof to have and to hold the said one hundred acres of the land and all and singular the premesis and appertainances thereunto belonging as aforesaid ____ every part thereof unto the said Willis Odam his heirs and assigns to the only proper and benefit and behoof of the said Willis Odam, his heirs and assigns forever and the said Nathan Minshew and his heirs the one hundred acres of land and premises aforesaid and every part thereof unto the said William Odam his heirs and assigns against the said Nathan Minshew and his heirs and all and every other person and persons whosoever shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents in witness whereof the said Nathan Minchew hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year first above menitoned Sealed and delivered in the presence of : Nathan Minshew (seal) Henry Harris William McClendon) recorded October 29th, 1834 Georgia} Personally came William McClendon and being duly sworn in saith on his oath that he saw Henry Harris assign this deed as a subscribing witness and that he assigned it as a subscribing witness also sworn to and subscribed this 10th (or 12th) day of March, 1832 John Housinton (?) To dau. CLARA HOLSTEAD, a negro boy Charles. To son NATHAN, a negro boy Arch. T o dau. IVEY HILL, negro girl Ester. To dau. Margaret Thomas, negro girl Rena and half of lo t #161, 5th Dist., and after wife's death half of lot #250 and half of 194 3/4 acres where "w e know live". To son REDDIN, negro boy Joe and after wife's death lot #230, 5th Dist., half o f lot #250 and half of the 194 3/4 acres where "we know live". To granddau's. Later date: Whereas the last Will and testament of NATHAN MINSHEW, dec., gave to his sife ELIZABETH to dispose of as she might think proper the proceeds of the hire of a negro man named Sand y who was to be hired out during her lifetime and after making said Will the deceased exchanged said negro man for a negro woman. Court ordered that REDDING R. MINSHEW, executor, hire out the negro woman and pay over the proceeds to said widow. Also found a record of his burial place and date on Film 0182821, Old Weston Cemetery, Houston Co., Georgia Located north of Robinds Air Force Base, Warner Robins, GA.
