Several years ago (at time of death) he was steward at Hardin College and at the Missouri Military Academy. Frank J. Pimple, acting yardmaster in the Alton yards at this place, was "side-wiped" from a car near the freight house early Wednesday morning and suffered internal injuries which his physician says are quite dangerous. Mr. Pimpel was in charge of the switching crew and was on the ladder near the top of a car which was moving. The injured man was taken to the freight house where physicians attended him. He later was removed to his home on East Promenade street, where he is now in a critical condition. Mr. Pimpel has lived in Mexico the last three years. He emigrated here from Pike County, where he was reared. He is married and has one child. --Mexico Intelligencer.
