a. Note:   Benjamin would not accept the illigiment child by Frank Killam - Elmer - and had nothing to do with him in his lifetime. He stipulated that he would marry Myrta on the condition that Elmer be cast from the fold. Ben Sr was a blacksmith and teamster who lost his right eye during a forging accident while making iron goods in 1906. We have few records of his life before arriving in Franktown. He came to Franktown from Kansas City, Mo. He died in Castle Rock, Colo. and is buried in Franktown, Colo.
 Was still in Moberly, (60miles North of Tipton) MO intil 1890.
