a. Note:   We do not know the name of George Pedego Sr.'s first wife. They had a large family but all but George Sr. and Jr. died of Cholera in the 1850's. From Kentucky, they took passage on a riverboat to Missouri. Their intention was to go down the Ohio River and up the Mississippi to Missouri but during the first part of the trip the passagners came down with cholera. George Sr. remarried and settled near Tipton, Missouri.
