Was owned pay for his work at the Ottoman MNint. Consulate has inventory of his belongings. Roll #10: List of Citizens of the US Residing in Constantinople January 1, 1871. Warren Hidden, age 58, b NY City, arrived in Constantinople 1832. Employed at the Imperial Mint Mary, wife Alexander, age 23, son Nicholas, age 18, son Constantin, age 25 appears on 1868 record but not on 1871. Roll #9: In October of 1869 and on 6 Feb 1870, Mary filed for divorce. NOTE: As of 1998, State Department records were held at College Park, MD branch of National Archives.
