a. Note:   me. He does appear however on the 1900 and 1910 census in the home of his parents as Andrew A. He was married to Florence Leighton under the name of Jack Warren, his social security card issued under Jack, and died under that name. His father, Delos, was superintendant of the school in the Cheney area and records show him visiting a school with master Alphonso, so perhaps he was called Alphonso as a small child, thus changing the name to something he liked better. -- MERGED NOTE ------------ Andrew Alphonso always used the name "Jack" as he disliked his given name. He does appear however on the 1900 and 1910 census in the home of his parents as Andrew A.
