a. Note:   Great-grandfather of Marcus F. Wash. 1860 Census, Collin Co., TX, Highland Twp., family 845,890 with 5 stepchildren Hodge, p. 17, Sometime before 1864 two Wash brothers, Nathan R. H. and William M. J. Wash, moved to Frio Co, TX, probably from Collin Co, TX. At around the same time their Rowland and Wilson cousins also moved from Collin Co. to Bandera, Frio, and Medina Counties. Their genealogy is interesting and is therefore printed here in the hope that it will be of assistance to others looking for their roots in Southwest Texas. Tombstone reads: William M. Wash, b. 24 Aug 1935 [Hodge book 1936], d. 14 March 1912, Fairview Cemetery, Camp Crook, SD.
