Born in Pope County, Illinois, October 4, 1887, he was the son of the late James A. and Idaola Frezell Waters. He married Daisy Schuchardt May 1907 who he later divorced. He then married Bethel Deaton Nov 23, 1942 in Cameron County, Texas. She survives along with two daughters, Mrs. Freda Robbs, Robbs, Ill; and Miss Ida Waters, Owings Mills, Maryland; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, one brother Ernie Waters of Anna. Two sisters and one brother preceded him in death. He formerly operated the Waters Grocery Store in Creal Springs and later operated the Waters Market on Court Street. Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:30 p. m. at the Mitchell Funeral Home with burial in County Line Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Sunday.
