 Married by Rev. James Jefferson 22 Mar 1838 in Marshall County
 Virginia. First home in Marshall County Virginia from 1838 to 1852.
 In 1852 they moved to Belmont County Ohio. Lived there till 1860- then
 to Belleville, West Virginia. When they moved to Belleville they
 purchased hundreds of acres of land and were the richest people in the
 area but William ended up losing it all.

 On or about 1880 (maybe 1882) he disposed of his home and purchased a
 farm at Ritchie County near Mole Hill. That home burned and he rebuilt
 on a large and rather expensive scale and became involved in a trivial
 controversy with a neighbor leading to expensive litigation. This,
 coupled with the panic of 1892-93 reduced him to almost bankruptcy. A
 age 78 he moved back to Wood County to live with his son James and died
 at 79 years, 3 months 10 days on April 4 1894.
