a. Note:   Taken from notes my Mother (Garnet Ann Boyter) wrote: Joseph had 2 sisters - all that's known about his relatives. Joseph's Mother died when he was 6 years old. He went into Military-Calvary. He met Mary at a parade going thru her village in Budapest. He migrated to US before Mary. Arrived at Ellis Island on September 20, 1904. Sailed on the "Statendam" deporting from Rotterdam. Mary and 5 children arrived on December 4, 1905, sailing on the "Gerty", port of departure: Trieste. (Name was listed as Jozsef Bojtar) Settled in Akron, OH. He was a Ranch Foreman in Spruce Pine, NC. Also worked at Goodyear in Akron, OH. Moved to California in June of 1943.
