a. Note:   Adam's wife's name is not clear. There was a Martha, age 50-60, in McNairy Co. in the 1830's.
 Also, in Granville Co., NC, an Adam married a Sarah Tippet in 1788 - and an Adam married a Nancy Proctor in Rowan Co., NC 10-15-1793. There were at least 2 Adams in NC in the late 1700's.
  Adam came to Wilson Co., TN first, then Davidson Co., TN where 2 children married. One child was born in TN in 1813.
