Daisy Yoskyl Consuelo Pearson, daughter of Weetman Harold Miller Pearson, 2nd Viscount Cowdray and Agnes Beryl Spencer-Churchill, on 26 January 1962.1 He died on 25 September 1971 at age 70.1 He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow on the Hill, London, England.1 He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1922 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).1 He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1924 with a master of Arts (M.A.).1 He was chairman of McCorquodale and Company Ltd.1 He was a director of the Bank of Scotland.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (National Conservative) for Yorkshire, Sowerby Division between 1931 and 1945.1 He held the office of Parliamentary Private Secretary in 1939, to the President of the Board of Trade.1 He gained the rank of Flight Lieutenant in the service of the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve.1 He fought in the Second World War between 1940 and 1941.1 He held the office of Parliamentary Private Secretary between 1942 and 1945, to the Minister of labour.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Conservative) for Epsom between 1947 and 1955.1 He was created 1st Baron McCorquodale of Newton, in the County Palatine of Lancaster [U.K.] on 2 September 1955.1
