a. Note:   Edgar Wayne Van Sickle. Sr. 11/15/1933 - 10/3/2007 Edgar Wayne Van Sickle, Sr., 73, of Pearland, Texas passed from this life on October 3, 2007. He was born on November 15, 1933 in Uniontown, Pennsylvania to Charles E. and Judith (Bartok) Van Sickle. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a Veteran of the Korean War. Edgar worked for Cooper Cameron Corporation and Dresser Industries. He was a member of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Pearland, Texas. Edgar was also a member of the American Legion Post 129 and of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8790. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Lawrence R. Van Sickle. He is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth Ann (Troutt) Van Sickle; step-mother, Betty Guthrie Van Sickle; daughters, Valorie Lynn Spann and Deborah Lynn Van Sickle Ochoa; sons, Edgar W. Van Sickle, Jr. and Roger A. Van Sickle; sisters, Lucy Van Sickle Davis, Joyce Van Sickle Lake, Donna Jeane Van Sickle, Wanda Van Sickle Sherry, Myrtle Cole, Mable Van Sickle Wilson, Brenda Van Sickle Braham, Rosemary Van Sickle Goodwin and Nancy Van Sickle Hull; brothers, Charles W. Van Sickle, Jerry R. Van Sickle, Clark E. Van Sickle, Andy Van Sickle, Phillip Van Sickle, Walter Van Sickle and Edward Van Sickle; nine grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held October 5, 2007 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Jeter Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 311 N. Friendswood Drive (FM 518), Friendswood, Texas 77546, (281)992-7200, www.jeterfuneralhome.com. Pallbearers include Julio Sanchez, Carl Cognata, Pete Lynch, Melvin Shields, Robert Mabrey and Dick Jones. The Funeral Service will be held October 6, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, 2535 E. Broadway (FM 518), Pearland, Texas 77581. The Rev. James V. Liberatore and The Rev. Joe Osteen will be officiating. Burial to follow at Confederate Cemetery in Alvin, Texas.
