Notes
a. Note:   Mrs. Elizabeth Dunn, of Pekin, died Sunday from blood poisoning occasioned by running a nail into one of her feet a month before. Published Saturday, September 5, 1891 in the MINING JOURNAL, Frostburg, Maryland on page 3, col. 3. ------------------------------ Death of Mrs. Dunn. Monday morning Mrs. Elizabeth Dunn, of Pekin, died at her residence in that place, from pyaemia. Her death was a most lamentable one. A month ago she was the personification of health and womanly vigor; an affectionate mother, loving wife and true friend. Three weeks ago she met with an accident which, at the time seemed trifling, but finally terminated her useful life. While walking around in her garden she tread upon a rusty nail which penetrated the thin leather of her foot. She suffered but little at first, but gradually blood poisoning set in and despite the efforts of her physician to neutralize the deadly pain, she died in great agony at the time stated above. The deceased leaves a husband, three sons and five daughters, who are nearly distracted at the fatal termination of and apparently trifling accident. The funeral will take place to day, the interment being at Moscow cemetery. Published Wednesday, September 2, 1891 in the CUMBERLAND DAILY TIMES, Cumberland, Maryland on page 4, col. 1.
