a. Note:   The Morning Herald - Monday, October 3, 1955 Harriet Humphreys Nixon Nixon, Harriet Humphreys-Age 85 years, wife of Samuel J. Nixon of 63 Main St., Fairchance, died Saturday morning, October 1, 1955 at 1:30 o'clock. She was a member of the Browns Chapel Methodist Church of Fair-chance; Gold Star Mothers; the American Legion Auxiliary and the Uniontown Hospital Auxiliary. Surviving besides her husband are the following children; Mrs. Mary H. Byerley, Mrs. Ralph (Nell) Wilson and Mrs. C. C. (Martha) Lewis all of Fairchance; Dr. H. J. Nixon, Mrs. A. D. (Lillian) Ferguson and Dr. E. C. Nixon all of Uniontown. She was pre-deceased by a son, W. D. Nixon in World War I. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren. Friends are being received at the home of Mrs. Ralph Wilson, 60 N. Morgantown St., Fairchance, where services will be held Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Earl N. Coddington officiating. Interment will be in the Smithfield Baptist Cemetery.
