Note: JANE WHITLING BACKSTROM 87, of Delray Beach, FL formerly of Pittsburgh, PA, passed away on November 12, 2006. Mrs. Backstrom received her undergraduate and graduate degree from the University of Pittsburgh. After her retirement from the Baldwin Whitehall School district she was an active member of the Upper St. Clair Hospital Auxiliary. She continued that tradition of service after her move to Florida in 1982 with the American Red Cross, JFK Hospital Auxiliary and the Royal Poinciana Chapel in Palm Beach. She is survived by her daughter Juel Sicilian, Delray Beach, FL; son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Pamela Backstrom, Pittsburgh, PA; grandchildren, Kristen and Christopher Wing of Gainesville, FL, Greg and Lori Warr of Delray Beach, FL, Kelsey and Geoff Backstrom of Pittsburgh, PA, Phyllis and George Rountos of Delray Beach, FL and Jennifer and Louis Sicilian of Jacksonville, FL; great-grandchildren: Jessica Calaway, Cory Perkins, and Dustin Rountos of Delray Beach and Brewer Sicilian of Jacksonville, FL.
