Note: Obituary for Marguerite B. Cooley Marguerite Backstrom Cooley, 83, of Pleasant Hills, formerly of Clairton, PA , died Sunday, Oct. 22, 2000 at Mt. Vernon of South Park, South Park Twp., Allegheny, PA. She was born May 13, 1917 in McKees Rocks, Allegheny, PA, daughter of Arthur and Elizabeth Beaman Backstrom. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Oscar and James Backstrom. Surviving are her husband Wilbur H. Cooley; sons, Duane Cooley and wife Lois of Salem, SC, Richard Cooley and wife Rita of Bethel Park, PA; sister, Betty Jane and husband Robert Weiland of Conneaut, PA; sister-in-law, Jane Backstrom of FL; five grandchildren, Eric, Keith, Lisa, Randall, and Donald Cooley: three great-grandchildren, Conner, Nicholas, and Linneya Cooley. Marguerite was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Clairton and a Past Matron of the Eastern Star, Clairton Chapter. Visitation will be 7-9 P.M. Monday and 1-4 and 7-9 P.M. Tuesday at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, Pleasant Hills, PA, where service will be held Wednesday at 11 A.M. Interment in Jefferson Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 500 Thompson Ave., Clairton, PA 15025.
