Note:   Prob b. in Kentucky and fam moved to Tenn when he was about 14, he worked in the Coal mines as a boy in Ky. the Family became aquiainted with the Chedester family early on after their arrival in Tenn. The Williams Family moved to Calif. in 1912. During their stay in Tulare Co after they purchased a farm near Tulare, they moved to Oregan but returned to Tulare Co after two years and resettled on a farm on East Prosperity Ave about 8 miles east of Tulare.BuriedTulare Public Cem. Plot 100F,Block 3,lot 36, Grave 8.
  His mother lied about his age, had him b. in 1883 so he could get into the ARMY.
  His Obituary from the Tulare (CA) Advance-Register, dated Jan 13, 1968:
  Robert Frank Williams, 83, 505 So. F st.,a rancher and Cattle-buyer, died Friday in a Tulare Hospital. A Native of Whitesburg, TN,Williams came to Tulare 56 years ago. He served with the Army from 1905 to 1908, fighting in the Philippine Insurection in the Philippines. He enlisted in the Calif. State Guard in 1944, and was discharged in 1945. He was a member of the Redmen Lodge of Tulare and the Odd Fellows Lodge in Kentucky. Services will be at 10:30am Monday in the Hamilton Peers Funeral Service chapel. The Rev. Richard Brock, First Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Tulare Cemetery. Survivors include his widow, Grace (Titherington,); a stepdaughter, Mrs Frank (Elva) Bylsma, Chino CA.,three daughteres, Mrs Al (Opel) Bylsma, Bellflower, Ca.,Mrs. Joe (Edith) Vargas,Tularel, and Mrs. Tony (Ruby) Dias, Chino CA.,Two sons, Robert F. Williams, Jr.,Middletown, and Kenneth Williams, Shaver Lake. Also surviving are these stepchildren, Mrs Marvin (Evelyn) Baxley, Morrow Bay, Mrs Walter (Edna) Dilley, Colton, Ore.,Mrs A.T. (Eunice) Willbanks, Porterville, and Mrs Clyde (Inez) Reed, Corcoran; a stepbrother. Jim Dodson, and a step-sister, Mrs Chassie Moore, both of Tulare; three half Sisters, Mrs Annie Hughes and Mrs Minnie Heck, both of Tulare. and Mrs. Opha Shipley, in TN and two half-brothers, Ray Dodson, Fresno, and George Dodson, Washington.
