Note: The town of Mildred in Sullivan Co. Pa. was named after Mildred McDonald. The Sullivan Review March 12, 1953 Mrs. Arthur W. Yonkin received word last Saturday of the death of her aunt, Mrs. George Plotzer at Punxsutawney, Pa. Mrs. Plotzer was the former Mildred McDonald resident of Bernice and for a number of years taught school in Sullivan County. It was she for whom the town of Mildred, Pa. was named. James Daly of Dushore and Paul Daly of Lopez, Mrs. Mary LaVelle of Binghamton and Hugh McDonald of Athens, attended the funeral services held in Punxsutawney on Tuesday morning.
