Note: From the Xander/Sander Family History (1953): -David Xander was the first Xander child born in this country (USA). -Concerning the issue of David Xander (1767) the remaining son of George Frederick Xander, a document was found in the Allentown Courthouse recorded in Docket O.C., Vol 2, page 622 and dated February 8, 1833, which in part reads as follows: DECLARATION: The petition of David Xander (b.1812), eldest son and heir at law of David Xander, late of North Whitehall Township in the said County, yeoman Deceased was presented, representing that the petitioners said father died intestate on or about the first day of October 1831 A.D. leaving a widow named Elizabeth and seven children: Susannah, wife of Daniel Moser; Elizabeth, wife of Abraham Frank (Frantz); Sara, wife of Michael Helfrich; Lydia, wife of Peter Frey; Hanna, wife of Peter William; David, Joseph (Joseph was still a minor). -During the years 1844-1846, the Williams, Freys, Franks, and David Xander, Jr. (b.1812) settled in Liberty, IL. The Mosers settled in Whitehall and Joseph, brother of Lydia (b.1807) settled at Mayorstown, PA. -David died of typhoid fever. - His name is found listed in the 1800 Census for Whitehall Twp., Northampton (now Lehigh Co.), PA. He is listed as David "Sander".
