Note:   From the Xander/Sander Family History (1953): -George Frederick Xander of Northampton Township, Lehigh Co, PA was a private first class in the 6th Co. of the 2nd Battalion, under the command of Captain George Breinig and Lieut. Stephen Balliet, May 14, 1778. He took the Oath of Allegiance in Northampton County on May 23, 1777. Number 281 on the list of Peter Meyer Esq. Justice of the Peace.
  -(George's son) George took over the homestead and increased its acreage considerably in 1798 and 1816. David, his brother, went to Weisenberg Township.
