Notes
a. Note:   Nancy SIMS Married: 15 Dec 1825 in Caswell Co, NC Wiley Mason, born 31 Jan 1785, in Virginia, and possibly Goochland county. His brother David has been found in records as born in Goochland county, VA, so there is a possibility that Wiley was also. " He was the youngest of seven children of David Mason and Anna Harvey Mason of Virginia. Wiley served in the war of 1812, and was mustered out in Norfolk, VA at the close of the war. He returned to Caswell Co., NC where he worked in his father's line of work as a masonry contractor. He married his first wife Nancy Beusey on 17 Oct 1809 and they had seven children. After the death of his first wife, Wiley married Nancy Sims on 15 Dec 1825. In 1827 he moved his family across the mountains to Smith Co., TN, settling at Riddleton. It is thought that he was in the saddle-making business. Wiley and Nancy Sims had six children. Wiley was known to be well versed in the Bible and in politics, both of which he took great interest. He lived at Riddleton until his death, sometime between 1843 and 1844. His will, recorded in Smith County Will Book #7, page 3, in October 1843, and was probated in March, 1844." ~ from the Smith Co.
