Note: some sources list as watson 1880 census has intials A. A., though I myself have seen the image, and I believe it looks like an F (or could be an F, but whomever was transcribing it wasn't sure, so since it looked close to the middle initial, A, though they were both A) 1880, living in Clanton, Chilton, AL 1900 census she is very clearly F. A., also age at last birthday is given as 48 and though the birth month and year are fuzzy, i think it's may 1852. her parents bp listed as Tennessee (dad) and Alabama (mom) 1910 census lists her as Fanny. married 35 years, 7 of 8 kids surviving. all of the sons are listed, so it must have been one of the girls? bp of parents given as Tennessee(dad) and Alabama(mom) possible census match: given name, aprox birth year from 1880, 1880 census', county eldest son was born in only 4 years hense, and that a younger son of hers was most specifically named David Mason Hand (after her father?): (note, I also found this family in the 1880 census, without Fannie listed, therefore if was her family she would be married) 1870 census Beat 14 Shelby Co., Alabama (all children bp = Alabama) David G. Mason age 59 bp North Carolina Mary A. Mason age 40 bp tennessee James Mason age 19 Fannie Mason age 18 David Mason age 15 Priscilla Mason age 12 Noel Mason age 9 Clarissa Mason age 7 Lucy Mason age 4 Mary Mason age 1 incidential note: Shelby Co., Alabama is known as "The Heart of Dixie"
