Note: Methodist came to oregon 1845 family history states that Ezekiel Burbage took up a donation land claim of six hundred and forty acres near Marquam. He crossed the plains at the same time the Marquam family made the trip, walking nearly the entire distance. 1830 census lists him in burbon co., kentucky 1 male 50-60 1 female 0-5 1 female 5-10 1 female 40-50 1850 census Clackamus, Oregon Territory Israel Burbage age 72 bp MD occupation farmer Elizabeth age 61 bp MD note: has his name Israel, but i believe it is either a mistake or another name (middle?) his age is given as 72 in fact i am abcolutely positive this is him, because the vry next name on the census is Alfred Markem (also spelled incorrectly), and they had adjacent parcel's of land. Incidentially, the family listed just before Israel's is George W. Jackson, whose son married Alfred and Olive's granddaughter. 1880 census for daughter olive lists her parents birthplace as maryland looked at census in Maryland from 1790-1840 Burbage's only in one county 1790 3 in Worcester Co MD 1800 8 in Worcester Co MD, 2 in Queen Anne's Co. 1810 11 in Worcester Co MD 1820 5 in Worcester Co MD 1830 3 in in Worcester Co MD 1840 8 in in Worcester Co MD they all appear to be from the same family, from Elias Burbage b. abt 1700, died 1791 Elias had 3 sons: Sampson (1730), Thomas(1732) and Willaim(1734) Thomas had 4 sons with a woman named Olive: Edward(1755), Ezekiel (1757) Nehimiah (1765) and Hampton (1767) Thomas's son Ezekiel is wrong age to be Olive Wise Burbage's father, however, right age to have a son Ezekiel could be from this family but where? looked in Worcester co at last name Wise 1790 3 Ezekiel Wise, John Wise, and Mitchell Wise in 1820 only 2 George Wise and Mitchell Wise believe Elizabeth may have been Wise, and if so, prob from this family?
