a. Note:   She and her husband met as students at Howard Payne College at Brownwood, Texas. Was married on Easter Sunday, at the Baptist cburch in Webberville, Texas. Bro. Reddin Andrews officiated. Mabel Brown Lusk played Mendelson's Wedding march. had a floating kidney so it would turn and twist during her lifetime and would create terrible pain. Marion would remember as a girl heating up a bag of salt to put that on her pain (according to Euladel) had surgery up in Berkeley (Marion went with her) to try and tack it down but complications from the surgery and infection caused her death. died abt 6 weeks after the operation (may have died in Berkeley). definitly burried in Porterville. From family history notes "My Father has pointed out to me a tree near the old fort at Webberville, not far from the new ferry, beside which the road passed, and opposite which one of the Turner brothers, or was it one of the Duty brothers, who was an indian scout, was shot from ambush by indians in an early day."
