Note: wel) !!!!!!! Some early reseachers gained membership to the DAR with the information that Mary's last name was MacKay....... but that's it !!!! I have found NOTHING to indicate that her last name was MacKay. As to the Powell name....... other early researchers made claims that Mary was a sister or daughter to Thomas Powell, who Thomas Prater was indentured to for 5 years. BUT I have found NOTHING to indicate that this is true. Thus I put in my files AND have given this same file to others that wife of Thomas Prater (Prather) was Mary.........(prob.
