In or about 1729, William and Ann moved to the adjoiningplantation of 360 acres called "Shaws Folly" which with "FrancisAddition" (42 acres), he had purchased from John Gresham. On this estateWilliam Sellman built in 1735 a brick house, which was later enlarged, isstill standing, and is known as "Woodlawn". At the time of his deathWilliam Sellman possesed 1373 acres of land, 31 negro slaves, 21 horses,119 head of cattle, 108 sheep and 19 hogs, plus a large inventory of farmequipment, stores of food and household goods. 1 W.
