Notes
a. Note:   Colonel Thomas Cockey INTERNET SOURCE: Anne Arundel Gentry: On December 12, 1737, his mother-in-law, Elizabeth Cockey, declared herself as the Widow and Relict of Thomas Cockey and was entitled to one-third of the estate of her late husband, appointing her son-in-law, Robert Boone, her attorney to prosecute her claim. She therefore bequeathed a legacy to Anne Hammond, daughter to Thomas John Hammond and granddaughter of the said Elizabeth Cockey. Other legacies at the same time were bequeathed to Elizabeth Boone wife of Robert Boone her daughter and to James Moss and Richard Moss, planters, of Anne Arundel County, her sons. All legacies were for natural love and affections and for the "consideration of a decent and Comfortable life". Ref: Prov. Crt Deed, Liber 1737-44, folios 19-21.
