Note: Sarah Elizabeth Linebaugh was born February 03, 1849 in Elkhart, Indiana the daughter of John Linebaugh and Catherine Fruits Linebaugh. The family crossed the plains in 1852 [California Trail] in a wagon drawn by four oxen. They settled on a ranch near Bloomfield, Sonoma County, California . Sarah married David Franklin Parrish in 1865 in Sonoma at the age of sixteen. After moving to Oregon, back to Sonoma, and on to Fort Bragg, California she remained there for the rest of her life, dying on March 12, 1922 three years before he husband. Sarah had a family of ten children.
