1870 Michigan Federal Census, Alpena County identifies Polly as "head of family" with only other member of family "Pearl B. Oliver". Polly is listed as being born in Germany in August 1844, age 55. Residence is listed as Sanborn Township in Alpena County. Shows her as havin immigrated in 1854, in the U. S. for 45 years.
1900 Alpena County Census shows Polly as widowed, and as a Hotel Keeper in Sanborn Township; living with unmarried daughter, Pearl, who is a House Keeper.
