Note: FOOTE - JOHNSTON ------------ Miss Isabel Foote, or Scipio township, was united in marriage to Mr. Ralph Johnston, of Newark, Ohio at 10:00 a.m. August 6th, at the Presbyterian churh in Antwerp, Rev. Paul Hollar officiating. The ceremony was performed in the presence of the immediate failies of the contracting parties. Miss Pauline Foote, sister of the bride, served as maid-of-honor, and Mr. James Johnston, brother of the groom, as best man. The bride, who is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Foote, is a graduate of Harlan high school, class of '27, and attended Teachers' College at Muncie (ed. note - Ball State). She has taught in the schools of Allen county (sic) the past six years. The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Johnston, of Cecil, and is a graduate of Antwerp high school and of pharmacy at Ohio State University. At present he is head pharmacist in the Miller drug store at Newark, Ohio. The wedding party was served with dinner at the home of the bride's parents, after which Mr. and Mrs. Johnston left on a tour through Wisconsin and Minnesota, expecting to visit the Chicago exposition on their return trip. Mr. and Mrs. Johnston will be at home to their many friends after August 12 at 539 Hudson Avenue, Newark, Ohio.
