Note:   Obituary from Newspaper Clipping found in Isabel Foote Johnston's belongings: William Henry Miller, son of Anthony and Elizabeth Miller was born in Jay County, Indiana, July 37 (sic-should be 30), 1854 adn passed away at his home north west of Antwerp July 2rd (sic) 1942 aged 87 years, 11 months and 2 days. Three brothers and three sisters preceded him in death, he being the last member of his family to pass on. He came to Paulding County at the age of 18 and has since resided in the vicinity. Among the pioneers of this regeion he helped to clear the land of its virgin forest and make this truly a properous and desirable place to live. He was married to Emma Woodcox August 17, 1884. Three children were born to this union, Mrs Dorie Ayer of Johnstonville, California, Mrs. Leona Foote and Mr. Henry Miller of this vicinity. There remain to cherish hiis (sic) memory, the wife, three children, five grand children, sevel great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends who will remember him as a loving husband, a kind and indulgent father, and a good neighbor and citizen. Card of Thanks The family wishes thus to publically express their sincere thanks to the many neighbors and friends for their flfloral (sic) offerings, their expressions of sympathy, and their kind asistance in this their hour of grief. They have helped to ease our burden and will be long remembered. A second Obit newspaper clipping on him: DEATH CLAIMS POINEER (SIC) CITIZEN William Henry Miller, 88, well known farmer residing north-west of town, passed out and beyond the shadowns and into the dawn Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock following an attack of cerebral hemorrhage. He was a pioneer resident of this northwestern territory and spent seventy years in this Antwerp community. Though mortal days extended beyond the psalmist's three score and ten, they are soon passed and human life is but a tale that is told. Surviving besides, the widow, Emma, are tow daughters, Mrs. Doris (sic) Ayer, Johnstonville Calif., and Mrs. Leona Foote, Antwerp; a son, Henry, at hom; five grandchilren; and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday at 2 o'clock in the afternoon at the residence. Rev. N. H. Bradley pastor of the local Methodist church officiated. Interment in Maumee cemetery. Schilb and Sons funeral directors in charge.
