Mr. Jameson suddenly took sick Monday while he and his wife were here on a visit with their son. He died Tuesday night with his wife and children by his side. He was of a sunny disposition and seemed never to have a care to worry him. The funeral services were held at the home of John Jameson Wednesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Price. Those attending the funeral from out of town were: Mr. and Mrs. Rawley Harmon, Mrs. Cramer, Mr. and Mrs. Will Foltz, Mr. and Mrs. Ollie Harmon, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Harmon and Mr. and Mrs. Dallas Harmon, all of McComb; Mrs. Arthur Van Horn, of Toledo; Mr. and Mrs. Dunn, of Findlay; John Harmon, of Fostoria; Mrs. Barton and Mr. and Mrs. Otto Devore, of Leipsic. The 11th of February Mr. Jameson and wife would have been married 50 years. The parents and children had made plans for celebrating the anniversary. The wife and children have the sympathy of their many friends in their bereavement. John Theodore Jameson was born in Millersburg, Ohio, Jan. 1, 1837, and died Jan. 23, 1917, at 2:20 a.m. aged 80 years and 22 days, at the home of his son John in Deshler. He is survivied by a wife and six children, three daughters and three sons, nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren and one older and one younger sister, two brothers and one sister having preceded him to the world beyond. He was born and raised a Presbyterian. In 1861 he enlisted in the 3rd O.V. I., Co. M., and mustered out of service at the close of the war.
