Note: Robert Barton Neel was born in Uniontown, PA. A photograph shows him and his wife and two children. The date of the photograph is not known but he appears to be 30-40 years old. Where he lived and died is not known. He was at Ft. Union, NM, in some capacity in 1882 when he signed papers releasing his mother, Martha, to sell land that she and Samuel had owned while they lived in Illinois. Martha was living in Kansas at the time after Samuel had died.
