a. Note:   Ben Sroka was in the Army during WWI. The following is a copy of his discharge from the Army in 1919.
  Honorable Discharge From the US Army To All Whom It May Concern: This is to certify that Benjamin Sroka 2056359, Corporal, Company C, 10th Bn, U.S. Guards, the U.S. Army, as a Testimonial of Honest and Faithful Service is hereby Honorably Discharged from the military service of the U.S. by reason of, I) for the convenience of the government, as per SQ 28, par 12, HQ Camp Grant, Ill., Jan 28,1919. Said Benjamin Sroka was born in Eau Claire in the State of Wisconsin; when enlisted he was 23 years of age and by occupation a bookkeeper. He had grey eyes, dark brown hair,dark complexion, and was 5ft 7 3/4 inches in height.
 Given under my hand at Camp Grant, Illinois, this 31st day of January, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen.
  Hamilton D. Turner Major, Inf, USA Commanding Benjamin Sroka was never married. He lived most of his adult life in near Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
