a. Note:   Following information found but not verified: Marriage to Luncina Helen Viney 8/8/1869 unknown location (assumeBloomington, IL.)
  Also found Census for 1860 listing Amos Cox in McLean Cnty with Helen.
  Also found Civil War enlistment notice showing Amos Cox from Illenlisted in Union Army as Private 9/26/1862.
  Have copy of both Amos and Helens wiills leaving eveything to theirson and daughter-in-law John W. and Isabel.
  Amos was a minister (unknown demonimation at this time). Performedseveral marriage documented from Whitman Cnty Gen Soc newletters fromlocal documents years 1882 to 1890 at homes, in Merchant Hall inGarfield and in Colfax. More reserch to be done on his ministry.

b. Note:   Found gravestone marker with the following inscription: Amos Cox, Rev.
 Feb 20, 1829
 May 15, 1898
  "A precious one from us in gone,
 A voice we loved is stilled.
 A place is vacant in our home
 Which never can be filled":
  One marker built with Amos info on North side, Helen on East side (seeHelen info for inscription), Elvine R. Viney (assume brother ofHelen) on West site with following inscription
  "We miss thee from our homes dear Ed.
 We miss thee from thy place,
 A shawdow over our life is cast,
 We miss the sunshine of thy face."
  Separate marker for child of Amos and Helen - John (1860-1940) andIsabelle (1859-1926) found near Amos and Helen.
