Note: bert Mahan Sr. married Hallie Clay Humphry, daughter of Charles E. Humphry and Daisy W. (?), before 1922. Laban Albert Mahan Sr. died on 11 August 1924 at Bexar, Texas, at age 29; Laban Mahan, 29, of 727 Waverly Avenue, died Monday afternoon at 4:53 o'clock. He was a natiave Texan and had been a resident of San Antonio for five years. He is survived by his widow, one child, his parents Mr. and Mrs. J.M. Mahan of San Antonio, and brother Joe Mahan of Sugarland, and six sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Harris of Dallas, Misses Bertha Imogene, Ima, Wilma Max and Hazel Mahan, all of San Antonio.
