She was born April 10, 1921 in Allerton, Illinois and was the daughter of the late Ivan and Edna (Jackson) Dyar. In 1979 she and her late husband George A. Magers moved from Bowie, Maryland to Harrisonburg, Virginia. On February 23, 1942 she Married George Albert Magers who died May 14, 1987. Surviving are two sons, Maurice Keith Magers of Weyers Cave, Virginia and Steven Francis Magers of Glendale Heights, Illinois; a daughter Elaine (Magers) Simpson of Elkton, Virginia: 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be conducted at 4 P.M. Tuesday in Eastlawn Memorial gardens in Harrisonburg by the Rev. David Reynolds. The family will receive friends 7-9 P.M. today at the Kyger & Trubaugh Funeral Home in Harrisonburg.
