When they returned from church and a drive to find their home and yard full of relatives and friends who had come from near and far to help them celebrate their golden wedding anniversary. Mrs. Magers was the former Etta Ehlers. Their children, Mr. and Mrs. Hershel Scott of Martinez, CA, Mr. and Mrs. John Magers, and Doris Magers of Homer, and Mr. and Mrs. George Magers of Washington, D.C. planned and arranged a basket dinner at their lovely home. A lovely three tiered cake was the center piece of the dining table which was cut and served with coffee and tea to the guests in the afternoon. I was a perfect day, just right for taking pictures of family and gifts which were lovely. They received golden wrapped silver dollars from their children. Their anniversary is in January, but it was held now while their daughter, Madonna, is here from California. A highlight of the day was a telephone call from their son George. They and the Scott's will be visiting in Washington later this week.
