a. Note:   The marriage of Margaret Elmira (Ellie) and Dudley I. Smith is recorded in Volumn 2, page 31, certificate #403 (Effingham Co). She was 25 and he was 22. They were married by Rufus C. Harrah (JP) 27 Nov 1879. Dudley's parents were Lewis Sheldon Smith and Harriet Said, natives of Ohio. Margaret and Dudley left Effingham County for Pueblo, Colorado in 1881. In 1890 they were living in Bellingham, Washington. In 1904 they were in southern Oregon. After Aunt Ellie's death, Uncle Dudley remarried, and in 1921 (which was the last we heard from him) he and his second wife were living on a farm in Banks, Oregon, RR#2.The marriage of Margaret Elmira (Ellie) and Dudley I.
