Note: KOSS (Unknown Newspaper) Woodriver-Mrs. William M. (Hulda Viola Ehlers) Koss 92, of Woodriver, formerly of Altamont, died at 6:20 P.M., Tuesday, May 7, 1991 at Alton Memorial Hospital. The funeral will be at 1 P.M. Friday at Marks Mortuary, Woodriver; with burial in Union Cemetery, Altamont, IL Visitation will be from 4 to 6 P.M. on Thursday. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, Woodriver. Mrs. Koss was born, August 26, 1898, in Altamont, IL, the daughter of Henry and Lizzie (Heseman) Ehlers. She married William M. Koss in 1920 in Salem, IL. He died in 1972. She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary Post 794, Woodriver, Senior Citizen WCPPU, and Standard Oil Annuitants Auxiliary. Surviving are her brother, Henry Ehlers of Sorento; and sisters, Maude Smith of Flora, IL and Elizabeth Smith of Lake Placid, FL; and step-daughter Helen Hadden of North Port, FL.
