Note: From Obituary: "Arthur J Forbes, 67, 12 North Ford, died Sunday at 6 p.m. at Grace
Hospital after several year's illness. Born Aug. 16, 1896, at Cuba, Mo.,
he came to Hutchinson in 1926. He married Mabel Meier, May 17, 1926, at
Elkwood. A World War II veteran, he worked as an AT&T and Santa Fe
telegrapher for 28 years before retiring in 1948 due to ill health.
Member: Masonic Lodge, Ensign. Survivors: The widow; a son, James, Pratt; sisters, Mrs Arthur Smiley, Partridge and Mrs Ruth Coons, Pretty Prairie and one grandson."
Mrs Ruth Coons is my grandmother.
