 We whose names are under-written, having some of us been embodied into a church statae heretofore in this place, and others of us desiring now to unite with them, do therefore in the preswence of God, and before the Elders & Messengers here present, unitedly give up ourselves to the Lord Jehovah, the Father, Son & Holy Ghost, the one living & true God, our Creator, Father, Savior, & Sanctifier, and avouch Him this dayto be our God & Portion (?) forever: And we give ourselves up to the Lord Jesus Christ, who is God manifest in the flesh, who is the only Mediator of the New Covenant: and promise to adhere to Him as such, by faith & gospel obedience as beccomes his Covenant People: And we promise covenant & engage to carry on the worship of God among us in this place, according to the Rules of the Gospel in a Church State, with those whom God in His Providence shall hereafter unite with us, praying for & depending upon the grace of Christ in order to the performance hereof.
